Even today, the spacious banquet hall provides a perfect backdrop for standing receptions, small concerts, conferences or even film shoots.
The ceremonial hall on the first floor of the Esterházy palace served as a reception venue for the highest social circles during the Baroque period. It received its name from the impressive fresco depicting The triumph of Apollo on the ceiling. Balls, receptions, and concerts were held in this excellent venue, where the Esterházy princes hosted exceptional personalities such as the French Prince Rohan and the Venezuelan General Miranda. However, the most outstanding guest of all was Queen Maria Theresa of Hungary. The spacious ceremonial hall still provides a perfect backdrop for standing receptions, small concerts, conferences, or even film shootings.
